Wondering around the Villages of Nepal

Nepal is a country of villages so more than 80% Nepali people live in the country side. Many of villages still have their own language, culture and life style. There are different types of casts and races of people around the whole Nepal.Village house in terai region (Plain region) are small hut with arrangement of kitchen inside. Bamboo and reed huts are made in terai region since those are place in Nepal that are very hot in summer and heavy rainfall in the monsoon. But in the town area most of the houses are concreted not more than five stores. In the hilly region most of the house are two stories houses.
Usually on the ground floor lies kitchen for the family. Upper floor is for resting purpose with bedrooms. Before the galvanized sheet were in use, most of those hilly region houses use to have thatch roof and slate stone roof. But most of the house now are replaced by galvanized metal sheet. The plain areas house and high hills house both have slope roofs. In the plain areas especially for draining rain water since there are lots of heavy rainfalls. In the high Himalayas those slopes are for draining snow. The well-constructed houses of the Sherpas are generally built of stone and timber, roofed with wooden slats.
The main occupation of the people in Nepali villages are farming.People are busy in their farm whole day. They also raise domestic animals like, cows, goat, sheep, duck, hens, buffalo etc. Those farmer all depends on those livestock and from farming for foods and livelihood. The farming done in Nepal are still traditional and the farm product are still limited to villages and nearby town sells. The farming business in Nepal are less than compare other countries in the world. Although the government of Nepal had been trying to apply the modernized farming techniques but it is very hard to implement. In hilly regions modern machines are very difficult to use as there is no roads to take those machines and the farming fields are all traces which make those machines impossible to use on those part of the country. Although the terai region of Nepal had huge plain land where Nepali villagers farmer can use those modern machine.
Nowadays most villages had been connected by graveled roads. Most tourist who comes to Nepal visits those village in the trekking route. Most of them now offer some traditional home stay facilities in Nepal. In the hilly area villages the trails are usually stiff and stony ways. Some places have some gorges and precaution should be taken while walking around those place.

Nowadays villagers in Nepal are more familiar with the tourist walking around their villages. So there are no need to worry about those villagers who looks strangely to the people. Often there are some cultures that is to strictly followed. For instance if you want to urinate on the way you might be careful that you are not urinating in the base of some kind of trees. Because villager might be worshiping that trees as their god. In that case if they sees that then they might get little annoyed. You might get hinted of those place by seeing the base of the trees. If the base of the trees has some small stoned raised upright and some piece of clothes are wrap around those stone then you should be careful not to pee on those stone.(I will update some pic about it soon). There are facilities of toilets in the villages you can ask them if they don't mind using them.I will be updating about this topic more in future.
